NBC dominated Thursday primetime with Night 2 of the Democratic primary debate. The CW, airing its “In the Dark” Season 1 finale, decidedly did not.

Yeah, CW finished in last place last night. A little higher — but not much — up the Nielsen broadcast sheets, CBS settled for fourth in ratings. Along with an original “Elementary” and a pair of “Young Sheldon” repeats, CBS aired the final two “Life in Pieces” episodes on Thursday.

Due to the nature of live-TV events, the following fast-national numbers for NBC and Telemundo should be considered subject to significant adjustment. We’ll get final ratings and viewers for the debate later today.

For now, NBC was first in ratings with a 1.5 rating/8 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 7.3 million, according to preliminary numbers. The Democratic debate followed a rerun of “The Wall.”

Fox was second in ratings with a 0.7/3, but fourth in viewers with 2.7 million. “MasterChef” at 8 p.m. landed a 0.7/4 and 2.9 million viewers. At 9, “Spin the Wheel” had a 0.6/3 and 2.5 million viewers.

ABC was third in ratings with a 0.6/3 and in viewers with 2.9 million. “Holey Moley” at 8 earned a 0.9/5 and 4.3 million viewers. At 9, “Family Food Fight” got a 0.6/3 and 2.5 million viewers. “Reef Break” at 10 received a 0.3/2 and 2 million viewers.

CBS was fourth in ratings with a 0.5/3 and second in viewers with 3.7 million. Following reruns, the first “Life in Pieces” at 9 had a 0.6/3 and 3.8 million viewers. The second episode at 9:30 — the season and series finale — got a 0.5/2 and 3.4 million viewers. At 10, “Elementary” received a 0.4/2 and 3.1 million viewers.

Univision was fifth in ratings with a 0.4/2 and in viewers with 1.3 million.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in viewers with 850,000.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 639,000. At 8, “iZombie” managed a 0.2/1 and 665,000 viewers. The “In the Dark” season finale at 9 settled for a 0.2/1 and 612,000 viewers.
